Champion Robotics recently hosted an exciting informational session led by students from our FIRST TECH Challenge Team, Mecha Knights. The event brought together new students and families eager to learn more about what it means to be part of a competitive robotics team.
During the session, our experienced team members shared an in-depth look at their engineering portfolio, showcasing the innovation, design thinking, and technical expertise that goes into building and programming a competition robot. Attendees got to see firsthand the projects, documentation, and problem-solving approaches that define our team's work throughout the season.
One of the highlights of the presentation was learning how Mecha Knights earned the Outreach Award last season. Our students explained the community engagement initiatives, mentoring activities, and educational outreach programs that made a meaningful impact beyond the competition field. This award reflects our commitment to sharing knowledge and inspiring younger students to pursue STEM.
The team also discussed their journey to the State Championship, walking new members through the challenges they overcame, the strategies that worked, and the lessons learned along the way. Hearing directly from students who have competed at this level provides invaluable perspective for newcomers considering joining the team.
For anyone interested in robotics, engineering, teamwork, and competition, these student-led sessions offer an authentic glimpse into what makes Champion Robotics special. Whether you're curious about joining or simply want to learn more about FIRST TECH Challenge, we encourage families to attend our next informational gathering.
